PIEZO ROTATOR

Precision Piezo Rotator (PR-35)
High-Resolution Angular Positioning for Extreme Environments
The NanoMagnetics Instruments PR-35 is a high-performance piezoelectric rotator designed for precision angular positioning in vacuum, high magnetic fields, and cryogenic temperatures. Its ultra-compact design and endless 360° rotation make it the ideal solution for sample rotation in confined experimental spaces like cryostat cold bores and small-bore magnets.
Engineered for mK Operation and High Vacuum
Constructed from non-magnetic, premium materials like Titanium and Beryllium Copper, the PR-35 ensures minimal thermal load and maximum mechanical stability. It is fully bakeable to 100°C for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) compatibility and optimized for operation at millikelvin temperatures. The integrated cermet resistive sensor provides highly repeatable absolute position feedback across the entire encoded range.
Dual Mode Positioning: Coarse and Fine Control
The PR-35 architecture offers two distinct modes of operation to cover both large angular movements and sub-micro-degree fine adjustments:
Coarse Mode (Step Mode): Utilizes slip-stick piezo drive technology for endless 360° rotation with angular velocities up to 32°/s at room temperature.
Fine Mode (Scanner Mode): Provides sub-micro-degree resolution for high-precision angular tuning, critical for alignment-sensitive measurements like angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) or complex transport studies.
